fashion + technology = (no)where (now)here

I came across this on The Creators Project's blog and have to say this is one of the coolest things I've seen. In the video below you'll see two models wearing dresses by designer Ying Gao. These dresses are made of "photoluminescent thread and embedded with eye-tracking technology" or in simpler terms they move--activated by the human gaze. The movements of the dresses are like jellyfish colonies drifting in the sea.

"Inspired by Paul Virilio's essay Esthétique de la disparition (The Aesthetic of Disappearance), the dresses were created by designer Ying Gao and are part of a new series (No)where (Now)here which explores the idea of absence."
